"A Chance to Dance" ` Super Bowl Torn Paper Collage Painting ~Texas Daily Painter Nancy Standlee

"A Chance to Dance"
16 x 20 Torn Paper Collage Painting
This Super Bowl Football Helmet is one of my entries into the F6 Sports Art Bowl MMXI show February 2 - 5, 2011 in the Lincoln Square Shopping Center, open daily 12 noon until 11 p.m. When I delivered my Arlington Museum of Art donation, see post HERE, I saw a great football themed art exhibition by Steve Moya with REAL football helmets sitting around. I never travel without my camera so I took photos of some of the helmets in this exhibition because I doubt that I would come near anything football for the rest of 2011. Steve had some great football themed art along with the helmets. Where does one get all these football helmets?
This sports themed show will be a first for me because I am not very "into" sports but this has been fun and I even watched a little football Sunday to see who would be playing in the Cowboy Stadium for the big Super Bowl Celebration February 6. Arlington, TX. is busy with preparation so please visit our Super Bowl Show. I am working on a 30 x 24 collage of a Green Bay Packer that I HOPE to have ready for the show. Yes, I found a picture of a piece of cheese to put in the collage but it is a long way from being ready to post on this blog.

  4. Pat, I'm still working on him. The canvas is the largest I've worked on, 30x 24, and I spent most of the afternoon and evening and got his pants done!! and some on helmet.. I'd started on him earlier in the week and then stopped until I found out who won or his pants could have been another color. Glad you like the helmet.
