9" x 12" acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas
This onion painting hangs in my kitchen and in direct sight while I enjoy my morning coffee. It is a wonderful reminder of a trip to Dena Wenmohs ranch and the two workshops I've taken there with Robert Burridge. When I stayed in the Bunkhouse, Dena had colorful onion paintings in the kitchen and I wanted to paint something similar when I returned home. Wonderful memories. February 2010 will find me back at the ranch taking my 7th workshop with Bob and maybe this time I'll get it right.
I decided to post this today as I was thinking onions after making an oil and vinegar salad dressing. To see this delicious recipe and read the story go to the Artist Food Network.
I have been invited to post on these blogs so please check the sites. I'm excited about both of them and their future.

Nancy...I've been to your blog before but I don't think I've commented. I like watercolor and acrylic as you do and am totally enjoying all the wonderful information you are sharing on your blog!!! Thank you SO much. It'll take me weeks to go backwards and read. The Gerald Brommer workshops are amazing and something I've always thought about doing. I took a collage workshop from Karen Knudson a few years ago and she got me intrigued for sure. An also enjoying Sandy Maudlin's blog and she got me into batik! So many things to do! You can check out my blog at ginnystiles.blogspot.com
Hi, Ginny, I used to do batik in the 70's and it is a lot of work and making stuffed wall hangings or caftans. Thanks for the nice comments. I nearly didn't take the Gerald Brommer workshops and I'm so glad now I did. There was so much information he shared and he's such a gentle person.
