15x11 acrylic collage on 300 lb. watercolor paper
This abstract figurative piece has hand painted metallic collage paper and some Citra Solv papers attached with gel medium. I finished it yesterday in the workshop and added some Citra Solv papers today after a demo by Robert Burridge at Dena's Ranch in the workshop.
Bob showing us the by product of acrylic palette skins on 4 mil plastic. Looks like they are strong enough for a loin cloth or not? The table top is covered in 4 mil plastic and he squeezes out tube color onto the plastic and uses it as his palette. After several days of painting there is a nice dried paint build up that be peeled off in a large sheet for your choice of use - loin cloth or clown painting or both.
Bob's Clown:
Here's the more serious effort of a clown painting using the acrylic skins on the body of the clown.

I'm prepared with an additional weapon to defend the gang against crawling critters when Dena is out on ranch business.

Love your college!
Never a dull moment in a Burridge workshop. One can get a year's worth of laughing in one week!
What an extravaganza! I loved reading about it and seeing the photos of old friends. Can't think of a nicer way to celebrate Dena and her birthday!
The only way it could have been better if Nancy Laliberte and Connie Michael had been there celebrating with me.
