I got the donkey image prepared and the paper for the demo last Friday night at the LGAA Friday night Gallery Walk in Granbury. Because of the article about the longhorn painted paper collage in the Hood County News I met some new friends and found a long lost friend I met in TWU library school.
I was notified Monday that the longhorn has been accepted into the LGAA juried Fall Festival of Art Show, September 25-October 30.
Dena has 3 donkeys on her ranch where I have taken Robert Burridge workshops and in July taught my art journaling classes. The donkey's names are Sally, Sarah, and Daisy and your guess is as good as mine as to which one I used in the photo reference but I liked the title of Dena's Daisy. Those girls will follow you around looking for a handout and will come right into the painting studio if left to their own devices.
I will teach the art journal workshop at Dena's in 2011 May 19, 20, and 21 and Gerald Brommer will be back at Artist Showplace in May 2011 also. He wrote the book on collage. See you there.

You never cease to amaze me. Your work just keeps getting better and better.
Love the donkey. Your story sounds like mine. I have been making artist's books, and doing collage with the idea of using up my abundant supplies, but have bought more instead:O)
It happens all the time, doesn't it? Glad you like the donkey. This morning he looks too bright as I used a gloss varnish and I may cover him with a semi gloss today.
Hi Nancy!
I love your collages! Great work. So much texture, and of course, your colors are wonderful.
Thanks Carol and I'm such a big fan of your abstracts and horses.. maybe I should collage a horse?

Hello, Elizabeth and I hope your Maitland Show is a sellout. I can't imagine the work it would take to prepare for one that large.
