"Horsing Around" DPW weekly Challenge 12035
9 x 7 oil on canvas panel
Horse Oil Painting
You can purchase this painting from my Daily Paintworks Gallery HERE.
Each week someone issues a painting challenge at DPW and anyone can participate and it is a learning experience to see how other painters tackle the subject. I really like the Fauve look so I toned the canvas with an acrylic orange and let some of these complements peek through.
Are you always wondering about the correct spelling of GREY, GRAY? I found a simple explanation and an easy way to remember and I want to share it with you.
grAy ~ the American way to spell it "A"
grEy ~ the English way to spell it "E"
cool, huh?

I love this Nancy. I really like the way you let the orange peek through. And thanks for the gray tip! Nice job on the oils!
Thanks Donna for the visit. I'm liking the toned grounds and painted about 6 more yesterday to have ready.
I have really enjoyed your works in oils...and just love the shadowing on the horse....very nice work.

Beautiful horse, Miss Nancy!
And my thanks to you, Miss Connie..appreciate your time and comments.
It has a certain Franc Maec style about it....which I love! Beautiful.
