Coffee or Tea 13008
6x6 on Ampersand Gessobord, original oil
$75
(Painted for day 8 of 30 of the Leslie Saeta paint 30 paintings in 30 days challenge.)
I'm using the striped cup towel again. It was given to me by Connie Michael, one of my Canvas by Canvas painting friends and collaborators. She had red embroidery placed along the edge, "Nancy Workshop Queen". I used water soluble oils again with a palette knife and painted on a red acrylic ground.
In a previous post I mentioned a book on water soluble oils by Mary Deutschman. I thought you might like to look at her website HERE. Sean Dye also has a book out on water soluble oils. See his website HERE.
Leslie hosts an online radio program each Thursday and this week will be Lisa Daria Kennedy who in on her #1325 daily painting. I'm listening to see how she manages but what's nice about the programs you can listen anytime while you are working on your #9. Artists Helping Artists HERE.

Lovely! When I look at the body of your works, the colors just leap at me - love them!
Very energetic mark -- nice patterns too!
Have stopped and looked at your Art Work every day during the challenge and had to tell you, you can feel the joy coming from it!
Thanks so much Jacklyn, Arena and Nancy. I really appreciate the comments.
COFFEE and TEA is so PRETTY!
The background color is so perfect!
Love the painting and thanks for the tip on the book. I've been wanting to try the H20 oils maybe this will spur me on, and oh yeah, the drying rack is great.
great painting and thanks for the tip on the H20 oil book, and oh yeah, the drying rack is brillant.
Maggie I love my books and get so much inspiration from them and I don't have time or space to put shelves in and needed a quick solution and it's working out great. Glad you can benefit from it.
Jacklyn, I've been trying to think of a few words description of my paintings as Leslie has encouraged us to in the Webinar and you may have given me an idea - "Joyful paintings" several have mentioned my paintings are fun or they make them smile. Thanks again.
Thanks Sue for taking the time to comment on the color. I appreciate it.
