Mixed Media Collage Acrylic Figurative Painting ~ "That's What I Like About You" ~ by Texas Daily Painter Nancy Standlee

"That's What I Like About You" 11099
12x12x1.5"
acrylic mixed media with collage on gallery wrapped canvas

This is one of the dozen or so paintings at an eclectic shop in Graham, Texas, J Dolittle and Co. and Vickie Milam has sent me word that some have sold. I did a series of couples and this is one of the few that is left. Subtle background color covers the newsprint collage.

I'm watching two of my Anne Bagby DVD's tonight to start making plans for my painted paper collage workshop. I got these from CCP Videos and if you'd like to have a chance to win Anne's new DVD out in January 2012 use the word Commitment and post a painting on their page on FaceBook. Sign up HERE.

Hi Nancy, I just joined up to follow your blog and am adding your blog to my blog's list. Love your colors. Your collage and figure works is very similar to what all the Parisian galleries are showing. I look forward to seeing your new works.
Best,
Angie

Thank you Annette, and I hadn't heard that term in a long time. My mother would say it occasionally. It's a good Texas word as far as I'm concerned.
