Acrylic painting with Venetian Plaster texture
This is truly a mixed media abstract painting with lots of Venetian plaster, red acrylics, stencil and scraffito work with some black flings of paint and oil sticks. I used this as a demo for a short one day texture workshop for some of my Canvas by Canvas peeps after I took the Carolyn Riegelman workshop in Granbury. See my post HERE about the workshop. There is another Riegelman workshop in the works for April. Check on the LGAA website for the contact person.

Awesome! I see you're on number four for the year. Me too.
Your workshop with Carolyn looked great. I saw Emiko, Diana, and Darla in the photo. Fun times.
Carol, I'm really on 21 and thanks so much for the info on inventory numbers. The reason is I'm going back to pick up some paintings that have never made it to inventory in any year!! I'm even putting them in a folder by year, instead of by medium and I think it will help me find a lot easier. I'll probably see these girls in April for the 2nd one also. Some of these had way to thick plaster.. Carolyn said don't you remember I said don't put it on too thick? No.. I need to use some hardboard panels I think to keep pieces from jumping off!
I love the spainsh wine painting...so hot! and the collage of your grandaughter is fantastic. I bet she is so very proud of you and your work.
She hung the collage in her bedroom to enjoy. Glad you like the red hot painting..thanks for the visit.
That is a HOT painting. Maybe it's your title, I don't know, but I immediately think of the work cooking when I see this. Great textures!
Thanks Lisa. I love red paintings.
