 Pear:Poire XOX 13077
10x10 torn paper collage on gallery wrapped canvas

Earlier I had done a 9x12 collage pear and it sold and since I'd had many nice comments on it I decided to try another one in the square format.

Side View, each side is different as you can tell from the back view

Back view (hanging wire has not been added)

To see work by other artists who are following along with the 30/30 go to the Leslie Saeta blog. I have joined hundreds of other artists for this September painting challenge and we are trying to paint and post a painting each day. It doesn’t have to be a finished piece but some piece of art each day. On some of the larger commission pieces I have posted portions over a 3 day period. On the smaller pieces I can do one a day.
This is one of those paintings I did before I left for the Leslie Saeta plein air oil palette knife painting workshop in Virginia Beach. Here is a group shot of us out on the deck of the beach house and I don't have to mention what a great fun experience it was.

A little camera tilt here but we are loading up to go to the beach and paint on the 2nd day.

Thanks to the ones who drove the rest of us and who were not too picky about sand or oil smudges in their vehicles. The name of the place was Sandbridge.

Next to meeting some great new friends was Leslie's great meals she prepared for us. This apple dumpling pie was spectacular. We will have to ask her to post the recipe. She used the honey crisp apples we bought at the fruit stand.

This mixed media collage sold while I was in the workshop and is in the mail today, Game On, heading to a Texas art collector.

I have written an ArtByte about the process of torn paper collage for the Daily Paintworks site and it is ready for viewing HERE. It has 10 pages with more than 50 images. An ArtByte is a small online tutorial that may be free or it's very affordable. Mine will be very affordable at $10.00 and it's loaded with information . It is available immediately and can be viewed as soon as a PayPal payment is made. It is stored in your ArtByte library. And/or I can answer any questions you might have. Send me an email or message me on Facebook. You can also leave a review. There are several very good free ArtBytes that are filled with information. When you get to the Daily Paintworks web page, look under tutorials. Here is my online gallery at Daily Paintworks.

I've decided to open a shop at Etsy as I will be adding some small watercolors soon. The shop has limited paintings right now but I will add more each day. http://www.etsy.com/shop/NancyStandleeArt
